The official website of the television anime adapting Honobonoru500's Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita. (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) light novel unveiled the main cast, staff, opening theme, first promo, and a teaser visual (pictured above). The anime series is set to premiere in 2024. Aina Suzuki (Love Live! Sunshine!!) and Mutsumi Tamura (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) are starring as Ivy and Sora, respectively. TO Books acquired the novel and began publishing under the TO Bunko imprint in November 2019, with illustrations by Nama. The eighth volume was released in November 2022, while the ninth volume is set for a June 10 release. Tou Fukino began serializing a manga adaptation in February 2020 on the Comic Corona magazine. TO Books shipped the fourth volume last November, and the fifth volume is scheduled to be released on June 15. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in November 2021.
