Hikaru Nakamura has won the World Fischer Random Championship in Reykjavik, Iceland, defeating Ian Nepomniachtchi in Armageddon 50 years after Bobby Fischer took down Boris Spassky. Magnus Carlsen bounced back to win his final three games against Nodirbek Abdusattov to take a consolation 3rd place.
