A colorful, all-around art space - featuring art supplies, calligraphy, classes, summer camps, gallery shows, great gifts, local art, art and product photography, fine art printing, stationery, and writing tools.
Private lessons are a great for enthusiastic beginners and experienced artists who are looking for a way to dive into the world of creativity, get help with a special project, 86 artist’s block, learn new skills, and get answers to their individual questions. Private lessons are all about you and what your personal goals are. If you have a specific project in mind, just let us know! Not sure where to begin? Choose from any of the following topics to get your class started: Acrylic Painting Art Photography Bookmaking Brush Pen Calligraphy Canvas Stretching Collage Crafting / DIY Creative Business Cursive Dip-Pen Drawing Exploring Creativity Fountain Pen Gouache Painting Handwriting Logo Design Oil Painting Organization Printing Your Work Printmaking Product Photography Turing Your Art Into Cards Urban Sketching Watercolor Painting Classes can take place in person at the Artist Shop, or we can set up a virtual lesson online. We are happy to accommodate to your preference. All levels are welcome--from absolute beginners to seasoned artists. For beginners, we’ll start off with a general overview, and we’ll make sure that you leave with gratifying understanding of how to use your tools and ways to enjoy your practice. For those with more experience, we will experiment with unexpected materials, offer critique, or dive into those more challenging topics. Just let us know what you'd like to learn. Our private classes last 1 to 4 hours and will be scheduled according to yours and our teacher's schedules. After you purchase your private session, we'll be in touch via hello@ for scheduling. We'll provide basic, shareable materials like pencils, scissors, palettes, and bone folders. Consumable materials like paints and surfaces are not included, so BYO if you have them!
