Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura and Alireza Firouzja are in action as the chess world’s favourite Christmas tradition, the World Rapid and Blitz Championship, starts Sunday, December 26th. The $1 million tournament will see Magnus attempt to retain his triple crown as World Champion in blitz, rapid and classical chess, but the competition is fierce, with only Ding Liren and Wesley So missing from the Top 10.
