Avalon was one of the great Wizard cities in ancient times and was ruled by a royal family. When the Source of All Evil declared war on the Wizard race, Avalon was the last city to fall to his demonic forces. Only six Wizards were able to escape. Their names were prince Merlin, Ambrosius, Bowan, Merrill, Rathmere and Zakal. Centuries later, King Arthur claimed the legendary sword Excalibur from the ruins of Avalon after being told about the sword by Merlin. Avalon is based on the mythical island
