Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads to them becoming lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” and more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same one Chewbacca’s family sees in the infamous “Star Wars Holiday Special” (1978). Featured in AniMats Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). Knowing this series will receive a lot of hate because of the ups and downs of recent Star Wars series, I’m happy to say this is an uptick. So far… The first two episodes don’t break any new ground, nor are they very original, but that doesn’t matter as the series delivers everything well. The cast and their acting are great, costumes and set design are probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the script, especially the hilarious quips between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new here, but it’s still fascinating and I’m looking forward to watching more. It gives me strong Treasure Planet vibes. As someone who didn’t like even the newer Star Wars series, I was surprised by Skeleton Crew. I really hope anyone who is even slightly interested or even annoyed by the newer series gives it a chance. Don’t let the “for kids” talk put you off. Star Wars is made for everyone, and this one is no different.
